Non-alcohol beers today offer consumers
the same great taste and quality as other
beers, reflecting a response to the increasing
number of consumers who want to enjoy a
cold beer with friends without consuming alcohol.
This has resulted in steady growth of the non-alcohol beer
segment, and HEIN EKEN has a growing portfolio of brands,
which allow customers to meet consumer needs in this
growing segment.
Buckler
Spain is one of the world's most developed
non-alcoholic beer markets, with the
segement representing more than 10%
of total beer volume. HEINEKEN's Buckler
brand is a pioneer in this segment with
its 0.9% ABV and more recent 0.0%
edition, and has been a market leader
since its launch.
As the name suggests, Buckler 0.0
contains zero per cent alcohol and is
typically aimed at consumers over 35
years of age. The brand appeals to a
broad range of consumers with a split
between male and female consumers
of 45/55%, compared to 60/40% for
regular beer.
Buckler 0.0 promotes an enjoyable and
healthy lifestyle using the, 'If you know
how to live, you can live it all' tagline
in advertising campaigns. Inés Arnal,
Marketing Manager, tells us, "The benefits
of Buckler 0.0 are clearly highlighted
in the campaign, promoting Buckler as
an enjoyable alternative to alcoholic
