Heineken at the 'end of the world'
World of Heineken 40 - summer
Heineken is also available in the southern-most city in the
world: Ushuaia, located on the southern coast of the island
of Tierra del Feugo, a province of Argentina. The city has an
estimated 64,400 inhabitants, and thousands of tourists from
all over the world visit every year to enjoy the region's nature
parks and scenery, including the Martial Glacier.
Heineken® brewed in the Santa Fe province of Argentina
almost 3,500 km away, is transported there by land and
sea. On land, the beer passes through deserted areas of
Patagonia, after which it is ferried across the Magellan Strait
by ship. This takes place when the weather allows it, since the
temperature can reach -15 degrees Celcius during winter.
Heineken®, the most popular premium beer in Argentina, is
available in bars, restaurants and at supermarkets in Ushuaia.
