BOTTOMS UP FOR THE
RUGBY WORLD CUP 2007
NEW INNOVATIVE
PACKAGING FOR
CROATIA'S
KARLOVACKO
Heineken has developed a special edition beer glass, shaped like a rugby
ball to help fans around the world celebrate the Rugby World Cup 2007.
Featuring both the official Heineken and Rugby World Cup 2007 logos
and etched with the Rugby World Cup ball graphic, these premium
glasses are set to become a popular collector's item in the lead up to the
Rugby World Cup competition this September and October. The special
edition glass will also be available in a unique gift box.
Heineken will again be the official beer of this year's Rugby World Cup,
with matches being played in France, Scotland and Wales. The company's
relationship with the RWC dates back to the 1995 Rugby World Cup, with
this year's sponsorship reinforcing the brand's position as the
international premium beer and strengthening its association with rugby.
Karlovadka pivovara is the number-two brewery in
Croatia and the largest beer supplier to Croatia's
tourist hotspots. Karlovadka pivovara is the largest
exporter of Croatian beer, distributing to countries
such as Australia, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina,
Canada, Germany, USA, Sweden and Switzerland.
Croatia's beer Karlovadko will this summer be
available in newly designed one-litre PET bottles.
Holiday makers travelling to the country's
Mediterranean coast will be able to enjoy this
award-winning lager in a brand new packaging,
following the launch of these innovative bottles.
Each PET bottle is sealed with protective foil
around the cap, ensuring top-quality beer at all
times.
"Our launch of the new Karlovadko PET packaging
has been supported by a new commercial
featuring the well known trio of 'Karlovacko guys',
portrayed by three popular Croatian actors," says
Roko Kero, Brand Manager for Karlovadko. "These
TV ads are recognisable to our consumers and the
latest ad only builds upon the already classic
series."
