JUNE 2004
Heineken Green Energy Festival and the Heineken Green Room
Sessions. The Green Energy Festival is entirely organised by
Heineken Ireland. It is a leading festival that features big names
in the pop music scene each year. Over a four-day period more
than twenty acts appear on stage in Dublin, attracting over
40,000 visitors.
The motto of the Heineken Green Room Sessions is 'big music in
a small room'; small-scale gigs with performances by fast-rising
new talents, or by more established performers doing something
completely new. In this way Heineken Green Room always
provides the consumer with new experiences. All communication
about the Heineken Green Rooms goes through new media, like
internet and text messages. No admittance fee is charged for the
performances, but tickets are obtainable on the special website,
www.heinekengreenroomsessions.ie
The Heineken brand also links its name to large-scale concerts,
featuring world-class artists and bands, including Robbie Williams
and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Concerts by David Bowie and
Madonna are scheduled for the summer of 2004.
As Ireland's biggest rugby sponsor, Heineken Ireland is associated
with the Heineken Kinsale Sevens and the number one European
rugby event, the Heineken Cup. To mark the Rugby World Cup in
Australia, where Heineken was a main sponsor, Heineken Ireland
