RUGBY
Heineken and the International Rugby Board announced that Heineken will be a worldwide partner
to the Rugby World Cup next year. The announcement was made at a star-studded launch held in
Australia last May. The tournament, which is the 3rd largest sporting event in the world and the
world's premier Rugby event, will be hosted in Australia in October and November next year.
RUSSIA
Since the beginning of this year, Heineken gained a foot hold in Russia. The Bravo International
brewery, based in St Petersburg, started in 1999 and is the fastest growing brewer in the country.
Heineken is pleased to announce that it signed an agreement to acquire Bravo International.
With this acquisition Heineken gains a foothold in the expanding beer market in Russia.

AFRICA
Heineken has been present in Africa for more than 55 years, and sees great potential for its local
