Heineken subsidiary invests
in brewery in Vietnam
Brewery operational end-1995
Heineken continues to expand its interests throughout the world. Last year
Heineken had already announced that it had acquired a brewery interest in
Hungary. Right at the end of 1991 this was joined by an Asian country. On 5th
December the contracts were signed for the building and operation of a
brewery in Vietnam.
The first stone for the new brewery is mortared into place by Mr Coebergh, Heineken Board
member responsible for the Asia regionand Mr Nguyen VanHuun, vice-chairman of the
local government of Ho Chi Minh City. Looking on, right, general manager Kiljan van
