Heineken agent De La Torre on Gran Ca nada enjoyed seeing these two revellers making it more than clear which beer brand they appreciate most. Stamps Every Tuesday night customers who ordered a pint of draught Heineken received a stamp on their Heineken 'Roll out the bar rel' card. Those who had collected six stamps after a few visits could put the card, marked with their name and address, in a col lecting box. There were three differ ent draws. The first draw How can a pub attract more customers on a quiet night and at the same time boost its sales of draught Heineken? This was the question that faced Bob Driver, W holesale Liquor Manager of importer Oman United Agencies L.L.C., when the A1 Ghazal pub of the Muscat Intercontinental Hotel in Oman reported the problem to him. The an swer was a three-month promotion called 'Roll out the barrel', during which customers could win a 50- litre barrel which they could use to organise a party for their friends in the A1 Ghazal pub. was made once a week. The winners were pre sented with Heineken arti cles such as T-shirts, beach shorts, etc. This weekly draw was aimed at main taining consumer involve ment in the promotion. Every last Tuesday in the month the winning card for the barrel was drawn. The very final draw featured an extra prize: two air tickets to Dubai. Oman United Agencies L.L.C. was extremely satis fied with the results of the promotion. Customer resp onse was enthusiastic. Visitors to the bar were especially attracted by the chance of winning a free barrel of beer and being able to host a party for their friends.
