We look forward to their contributions

Good Luck—and smooth sailing.
Jim Valvano, left, head basketball coach
at North Carolina State University wears
a big smile as he accepts the third annual
HEINEKEN achievement award—a
beautiful, blue Delft, imported Heine
ken Trophy—from John McAna, VMCO
VP and National Sales Manager, at right.
The award was presented during the
Eastern College Athletic Conference
Holiday Festival Tournament at Madi
son Square Garden where Heineken
was the "official beer." Jim Valvano has
one of the best won-lost records on the
collegiate scene. "But more important"
as John McAna said, "are the many ac
colades he has received as a leader,
motivator and teacher. His relationships
with his players are frequently cited as a
coaching standard, based on a working
philosophy that they are really people-
not just athletes."

Three hundred and fifteen cases
never looked so good! This magnificent
floor display put up by Blaikie Sons
at Publix Stores in Sarasota, Fla. fea
tured nothing but Heineken and Heine
ken Dark in cases, 6 packs and bonus
packs. Giant inflatable bottles, Heine
ken windmill and the big Heineken
banner all added to a "show and sell"
story that moved sixty five cases of
Heineken and Heineken Dark in just
one week!
