Truck Decal Program Sells More Heineken John A. McAna, V.P. Sales, VMCO rmsm The Heineken Truck Decal Program is really in action rolling billboards from coast-to-coast. The new decals have been upgraded in design, pres sure sensitive so they're easy to apply, made of DuPont Tedlar, a tough film that resists weather. Use them to boost your Heineken sales. The decals are flexible in design, too, combinations to fit any size or type truck attractively. Here are several ex cellent uses of the decals One of the most important players on a #1 selling team is a V.P. of National Sales with vast experience, aggressive drive and plenty of presence. That's a pretty good description of VMCO's John A. McAna. Born in a tiny town near Gloucester, Mass., he attended New York schools and St. John's University. His career started with Balfour, Guthrie, an ex port-import business, at which he was involved with purchasing. Later he joined Park Tilford, in sales, then to Schlitz where he held a number of ex ecutive sales and merchandising jobs. Next, John went with a wholesaler who handled Heineken which led him to a job with VMCO in 1965. He left VMCO in 1974 for Schenlev. Then he was with American Distillers as Regional Market ing Director. He came back to VMCO about a year ago as V.P, National Sales. John and his wife, Kay, live in Roch- elle Park, N.J. Their daughter, Kathi, attends Lafayette College. if AMSTEL THIS IS IT! The first and only brewed-and-bottled-in-Europe beer that is low in calories, yet has the dis tinguished taste of a premium import, is Amstel Light Bier. It is being intro duced in this country exclusively by Van Munching Company, Inc., ex clusive importers of Heineken Holland Beer. Amstel contains only 95 calories per 12-ounce bottle and is available in six-packs of 12-ounce bottles. AT SU-RO's recent sales meeting in Miami, Florida, Heineken's Christmas Header was a highlight. The other highlight in the photo is Jack Hymes, VMCO Sales Rep. i mpariwMi ONLY ËtSIJ' THERE ARE TWO SIDES to every Am stel T-shirt, both good reading! The shirt is fire-engine red and you'll be seeing them all over the country pretty soon. They make a great promotion item. For instance, Seneca Beverage in Elmira, N.Y. is having their sales men arrange "T-shirt Nights" at key on-premise accounts, to generate volume sales. THIS DISPLAY at Bucks County Bev erage Co., Penndel, Pa., was created by their Heineken Girl pretty Pat Deratto. Hub Distributor at Grand Junction, Colorado, gets a lot of mileage out of a Heineken Van Decal Set. Boening Bros, in North Lindenhurst, New York, has an effective Heineken advertisement on the new truck. Ciampi Distributors, Novato, Califor nia, uses both Heineken Light and Dark bottles to frame the famous Heineken logo. Sheller Beer Co., York, Pa., makes great use of a Heineken Truck Decal Set on a giant trailer.
