A s this year comes to an end, we have many reasons
to be pleased and grateful for our accomplishments in
spite of all the unhappiness that our country is going
through.
It has not been an easy year businesswise but our
endeavors and that of our entire organization has re
sulted in a very rewarding one as far as our fiscal year
ending November 30th was concerned. We reached
total sales to wholesalers in excess of AVi million
cases, a 36% increase over 1972 and that in spite of
a substantial price increase which took effect in Feb
ruary and which I honestly believed would have its
effect on our sales. However, inasmuch as some of the
German brands and others raised prices even higher
must have had something to do with it.
The technical and shipping staff in Rotterdam has
been most helpful despite many complications that
have arisen due to the delay in completing the new
Brewery which may have serious effect on our future
business until 1975.
I would like to take this opportunity to express to
all of our readers and their families my best wishes
for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and
that every one of you will play his part in reaching
our sales goal for 1974.
