Of course, I could not omit stating the won derful treat of being able to buy a 12 oz. glass of Heineken's Beer for 10^. For the members of the National Liquor Stores Association, there were many spe cial functions planned which were enjoyed by everyone. We had the privilege of ar ranging, through the good offices of their officials, a Farewell Cocktail Party for all the members and their guests and we have a few pictures taken at the occasion. Many new ties of friendship were made during the trip and I am sure that everyone of our large group will have happy mem ories of this wonderful cruise. It is indeed a very true slogan the Holland America Line adopted many years ago "It is good to be on a well-run ship". The accommoda tions of the steamer itself are as nice as one could wish for, the food is unsur passed, service friendly and pleasant, while the passengers themselves make up for all the social activities. I think compliments should be paid to Commodore Bouman and his staff officers as well as to the very congenial and able Cruise Director, Robert J. Smith. Much too soon, the cruise came to an end and many promises were already made for next year's event with another Nation al Liquor Stores Association's cruise on the NIEUW AMSTERDAM. I, for one, am sure that each year more members en joy coming along and as a seasoned travel ler, I must say that anyone who can find the time and opportunity to come along, can look forward to a most wonderful va cation, recreation and constructive dis cussion among the members. I hope to see many of you next year and 1 can assure you that nobody will get in Dutch!
