The amount of work at the office has been increasing daily due to our ex panded business activUi&s andvn~addi- tion we have been temporarily without the services of our girl Friday, Grace Arcoro. Grace has been confined to the hospital as a result of a rather severe and unexpected operation, but I am de lighted to inform everyone that she is on the mend and will be back with us in the very near future. In addition to serving as your presi dent I have been elected to the presi dency of the Netherland Club of New York. This means that I am entrusted ivith the supervision of the administra tive affairs of that organization. Although I am deeply gratified by this honor which was bestowed upon me, I promise not to let my nevj duties interfere with our business activities. I am leaving for Holland shortly as ~Fwms~Tequ'ested by the-Brewery to meet with the Heineken's officials in Amster dam to discuss further plans for expan sion of our shipments to the United States market, and to review the de mands put upon us by the increased business in this country for which we are all very gratified. In the next issue of the Windmill I will tell of the results of my trip and in the meantime may I remind you to !(Keep Bunching With Van Munching Sincerely, His Royal Highness Prince Bernhard of The Netherlands and Mr. Leo van Munching9 recently elected President of the Netherland ClubNeiv Yorkphotographed at the dinner of the Half Moon Trophy Award Ceremony On March 5, 1957 the Netherland Club of New York made its annual award of the Half Moon Trophy. The members of the club took this occasion to present to His Royal Highness Prince Bernhard of The Netherlands, an honorary trophy in recognition of his many services to the Dutch people during his many visits to the United States. The Half Moon Trophy is the annual award the Netherland Club bestows upon the Netherlands immigrant who, through his occupational efforts, has set an ex ample of achievement for the contribu tions of the Netherlands immigrant to the American way of life. The trophy is a hand carved sterling silver replica of Henry Hudson's ship, the Half Moon, in which he sailed up the Hudson River. This year's Half Moon Trophy was awarded to Dr. Isidore Snapper for his distinguished achievements in the field of medicine.
