Keukenhof in Holland has been described
as the greatest flower show on earth. Here
some 70 acres of parkland are devoted to a
horticultural display that includes millions
of flowers of various bulb varieties, cen
turies-old trees, a heather garden, beauti
ful ponds and cascades, 5000 square
metres of greenhouses and a roofed gar
den. There are restaurants, terraces and a
"Queen Juliana Pavilion". Visitors come
to Keukenhof from all parts of the world
and they include large numbers of dedica
ted photographers and cine cameramen.
Photography is indeed a unifying influ
ence. Another common enthusiasm, as
CONTACT pictures show, is Heineken!
