Strong though the competition was, the
award of the Zena Kossar blue ribbon to
Holland was a popular one. Said one
Canadian journalist: "If the Amsterdam
(Dutch) Pavilion doesn't win the Zena
Kossar Award for the best Pavilion at
Caravan '77, then there's something
wrong." But nothing was.

Mr. John Burger, Head of the Export
Transport Department, and Mr. Robert
van Duursen, Export Manager Direct
Exports, have been appointed deputies
to the Export Director as from October
1st 1977.
Mr. Burger joined the company in 1946
as an assistant in the Export Transport
Department and after a few years
became departmental head. The de
partment's strength has grown since
1946 from four to 40.
Mr. Van Duursen was Area Export Man
ager Africa and the British military forces
from 1962 to 1970. His other appoint
ments include Regional Export Manager
Caribbean, Canada and military forces
worldwide, and Marketing Manager
Eastern Hemisphere.

M. Burger est entré dans la société en
1946 en tant qu'assistant au départe
ment transport du service d'exportations
dont, après quelques années, il prit la
tête. Le département emploie au-
jourd'hui 40 personnes contre quatre en
1946.
Mr. Van Duursen était, de 1962 a 1970,
responsable des exportations destinées
a I'Afrique et aux forces armées britan-
niques. Parmi ses autres titres, mention-
nons ceux de directeur régional des ex
portations (Antilles, Canada et Forces
Armées dans Ie monde entier) et de di
recteur du marketing pour l'hémisphère
oriental.
