Winning Line-Up
This year saw the first-ever Dutch home-brewed
lager competition, run by our Brand brewery and
the Dutch beer consumers' association PINT.
Winner Marc Vriens battled more than 60 other
home lager brewers for the once-in-a-lifetime
opportunity to have one batch of his winning
recipe brewed by Brand, and made available for
sale in the Netherlands.

GLOBAL
HEINEKEN has been honoured for its employee health
programme and global health practices with the
prestigious GBCHealth Business Leadership Award.
GBCHealth staff across the world voted unanimously to
recognise the Company's enduring commitment to and
excellence in its support for health-related programming.

At the 2012 Brewers Association World Beer Cup Awards, five local HEINEKEN brands walked away
with the highest accolades. The winners competed against 799 breweries and nearly 4,000 beers! The
awards were for Starobrno, Gold Award in the Bohemian-Style Pilsener category; Krusovice Imperial,
Silver Award in the Bohemian-Style Pilsener category; Birra Moretti, Bronze Award in the International-
Style Lager category; Edelweiss Hefetrüb, Bronze Award in the South German-Style Hefeweizen/
Hefeweissbier category; Prestige, Gold Award in the American-Style Cream or Ale category.
