In April, the Heineken® brand was selected as
the winner of MIPTV's Brand of The Year Award
for its 'Open Your World' campaign. MIPTV
is a showcase for the latest in TV, bringing
together representatives from all areas of the
industry to look for new opportunities. Led by
Andrew Canter, CEO of the Branded Content
Marketing Association, an international jury
of representatives from brands, agencies and
production companies, agreed that Heineken®
had demonstrated leadership and compelling
engagement in producing high-level branded
content in areas including music, football, design
and social media.

In 1964, Alfred Heineken established the Heineken
Prizes, awarded every two years, to recognise and
promote a passion for learning and science. The
winners of the 2012 Heineken Prizes were chosen
by an independent jury appointed by the Royal
Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences. The six
winners, experts in their field from the UK, the US, the
Netherlands and Australia, will be presented with their
prizes at a special event in Amsterdam in September.

HEINEKEN's 2011 Sustainability Report was published in April this
year. The online report outlines HEINEKEN's achievements in each of
the six areas set out in the global sustainability strategy, Brewing a
Better Future, two years ago. Progress is reported in each of the six core
initiatives - Green Brewer, Green Commerce, Engaging Employees,
HEINEKEN Cares, Responsible Consumption and Partnerships for
Progress. In addition to this global sustainability report, 35 operating
companies will publish a local sustainability report over the coming
months, sharing more detail on their progress with local stakeholders.
