It's the most famous horse racing event in the world, attracting 600 million television
viewers and generating more than £100 million (€113 million) of bets on the day in the UK
alone. The John Smith's Grand National returns to Aintree, backed for the sixth time by
Britain's favourite ale.
A long-term supporter of horse racing, the John Smith's brand has proved its 'staying
power' with the sport of kings. It has extended its partnership with the race until 2013,
with an option to extend a further three years beyond that date. If you can't make it to
the three-day event, you can still take part in the Aintree Legends 2011, which gives
racing fans a chance to vote for their favourite Grand National horse or personality.

Friends of Amstel LIVE! is the brainchild of Amstel beer. Over 12 years it has grown
into one of the largest music events in The Netherlands. In 2011, the venue will
once again be transformed into the largest Amstel café in the world, serving top
Dutch performing artists and the public alike.
In addition to the crowd-pulling line-up, one of the artists will impersonate their
own idol. The climax is a grand finale featuring an all-star tribute to a great Dutch
musician. Following the success of 2010, organisers expect in excess of 90,000
visitors.
