Rugby's most cherished prize, the Webb Ellis Cup, is on world tour courtesy of Heineken.
The cup, named after William Webb Ellis, credited as the inventor of rugby football,
will visit Ireland (November 2010), Hong Kong (March 2011), South Africa (April 2011),
Argentina (May 2011), and Japan (March 2011) before heading back to New Zealand (July
2011) for the 9 September Rugby World Cup tournament kick-off. Since the first Rugby
World Cup in New Zealand in 1987, the event has grown into the world's third-largest
sporting event. The final will be held at Auckland's historic Eden Park.
The Rugby World Cup tour will give fans the chance to get up close and personal with the
trophy, which millions dream of holding.
