World of Heineken 42 - summer 2010 is empty, the Clever system helps to switch to the next full tank with a simple tap of the finger on the touch screen. The bartender can thus continue serving beers to guests - without the usual loss of time or beer spillage that happens when traditional beer kegs need to be changed. The Clever unit uses telemetries to allow the brewery to remotely monitor beer volumes, and contact the outlet automatically to arrange for the next beer delivery. The beer is transported in a cooled tank beer truck, which is loaded with freshly brewed beer straight from the brewery. AUTOMATIC CLEANING Automation doesn't stop at delivery. A cleaning unit automatically manages the weekly cleaning cycle of the beer lines, enabling the bar owner to plan the next cleaning, preferably just before closing the bar. A simple tap on the touch screen starts the cleaning process. When activating the automatic cleaning function, the amount of beer still present in the lines can still be poured and sold so it is not wasted. SPREADING THE WORD Norbert Kout, Orion Project Manager Heineken Beer Systems, confirmed that Slovakia is the first market to have the latest- generation Orion system, tested in the Dutch and Swiss markets. "The introduction of Orion in Slovakia has been supported with an intense marketing campaign using local beer brands Zlaty Bazant and Corgon. Orion has also been rolled out in the Czech Republic, Spain and Switzerland. Preparations are underway for further international expansion of this state-of-the-art innovation!" ttt: beer lines water/cleaning lines communication lines air pressure lines cooling lines For additional information about Orion, please contact norbert.kout&heineken.com
