After a day of exotic celebrations, it was time for the VIPs to make their way to the Ataturk Olympic Stadium to watch the exciting final match. 70,000 cheering soccer fans were treated to a truly spectacular game as AC Milan and Liverpool FC battled it out for European football glory. With the Italians dominating the first half, Liverpool managed to even up the score in a spectacular comeback, making it 3 goals apiece by the sound of the final whistle. With the match still undecided after extra-time, the title for Europe's greatest came down to a penalty shoot-out, with Liverpool FC coming from behind to take the final honours. Truly a brilliant victory worth celebrating!
