In Puerto Rico Heineken was a welcome guest at two world-class
events on the same day. First Sonora Ponceha, a legendary
Puerto Rican salsa band, performed at the Colliseo Ruben Rodriguez
in Bayaman. The venue was packed all night, as over 6,000 salsa
fanatics took over the dance floor.
At the final round of the Puerto Rican Found@Thirst campaign,
which focuses on finding local DJ talent, the Old San Juan' Arena
was transformed into the biggest nightclub on the island. A line of
1,000 beat-hungry dance enthusiasts waited anxiously to join the
party. But the 4,000 people inside the Arena danced the night
away and didn't go home until the break of dawn.
Year after year Heineken Caribbean effectively supports various
events, making the brand visible from the Bahamas to Trinidad,
from the Cayman Islands to Surinam.
