Found@Thirst involves working with local media, venues and DJs
to uncover local DJ-ing talent. Up to six finalists are invited to
attend 'Thirst sessions', where they get the opportunity to meet
and receive music advice from a world renowned DJ.
The finalists then perform to a packed crowd at the Found@Thirst
final. The winner is chosen by a jury of local and international DJs
or by audience vote and is rewarded with a set alongside the
touring DJ superstars at the main Thirst Event. Found@Thirst has
already discovered DJ talent in twenty-three countries. Miss Motif
(aka Mandy Darcy), the twenty-four year old Irish Found@Thirst
finalist, stunned the crowds by adding her vocals live while
mixing. She has since recorded a dance track with Daniele Davoli
that went top 10 in Italy. Miss Motif will also travel the world as
part of the 2004 Thirst tour, further demonstrating Heineken
Music's commitment to uncovering and supporting fresh local
