A PERFECT BEER THANKS TO CD-ROM Visiting markets, advising Heineken reps and bar staff on how to serve a beer and on how to use dispenser installations; these are key elements in my work. Since recently I've always made sure that when I pack my bags for my travels I also take along some copies of the new CD-Rom: 'Serving Perfect Beer, all you need to know'. This CD-Rom is specifically intended for Heineken sales reps and their on premise customers and it contains a wealth of information about beer, the brewing process, dispenser units and how to serve a perfect glass of beer. If you want to take in all the information straight away, it will take you quite some time. The information that we've placed on the CD-Rom runs for a total of more than four hours. Animated sequences, short films and a voice-over professionally guide the viewer through a broad range of subjects. Obviously, we talk about the history of beer, the raw materials, the brewing process and the Heineken quality standards. But the CD-Rom also contains highly practical information about how to change a keg or a C02 cylinder, plus all you need to know about cleaning and maintaining the dispenser unit and, most importantly, how you can serve a perfect glass of beer. The CD-Rom was developed by the Draught Beer Competence Centre in cooperation with Corporate Marketing. It was commis sioned by the Heineken University, an internal training organisation, and it fulfils one of my long-cherished wishes. We have now bundled together all the information you could ever need to know about this important subject. In view of the many requests for information that I've received in recent years, this CD-Rom has really hit the bull's eye. And that view is also shared by Heineken representatives and their customers: 'Serving Perfect Beer' has been greeted with enthusiasm on all sides. In the end our consumers are the ones who will benefit most from this CD-Rom, as they will be served a Perfect Beer. And that, after all, is the ultimate aim that we are all seeking to achieve.
