Commerce, together with Jean Frangois van Boxmeer, Member of
the Executive Board of Heineken N.V. and Jean-Paul van Hollebeke,
General Manager of Heineken Slovensko, symbolically opened the
door of the malthouse by throwing barley.
With an annual production capacity of 130 thousand tons, the
malthouse is one of the biggest malthouses in Europe. The first
place in Europe is held by the malthouse Albert in Antwerp, one
out often malthouses that are operated by Heineken worldwide
(Belgium, Spain, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Argentina, Greece and
Slovakia). With annual exports of approximately 123 thousand tons,
it is one of the largest European malt exporters. Heineken Slovensko
distributes malt not only into its four breweries in Slovakia, but
also to breweries in Poland, Hungary, Russia, Romania, Croatia,
Serbia and Ukraine.
