The Vietnam Brewery, the first brewery to
have implemented ISO 9001, version 2000,
has won the Golden Dragon Award for
significant contributions to Vietnam's
economic development. Vietnam Brewery
won the award together with nineteen
other foreign invested companies.
Starting in September 2001, the selection
was made from a consumer poll of 160
companies and a joint survey by the
federation's members, ministry officials
and economists. The foreign invested
sector was responsible for more than 13%
of Vietnam's gross domestic product and
one third of national industrial revenues
in 2000.

The Heineken Experience in Amsterdam
has been awarded best new tourist venue
in the Netherlands in 2001 in the form of
the "TourNet Attraction Award." The jury
was especially enthusiastic about the way
in which the story of Heineken is
presented. They also appreciated the
successful way in which the Heineken
Experience was integrated into the
traditional structure of the former
brewery, the overall quality of the
presentation and the customer friendliness
of the personnel. Within one year after the
opening in May 2001 the Heineken
Experience welcomed its 250,000th
visitors. Meint van Kuiken, director of the
Heineken Experience, presented the
visitors, Ben Roudy and Stephany Thomas
from the USA, flowers, an original
Heineken mug, the book 'The Magic of
Heineken' and free entrance tickets for
their visit to the Heineken Experience.
Heineken USA is entering the fast growing
large segment with the dynamic new 24 oz.
Keg Can. Designed to look like a hand-held
keg, the new Keg Can is a larger version of
the popular 12 oz. Keg Can. The cans, on
store shelves from September 1st, 2002,
were developed in response to consumer
demands for a larger, more convenient
package size and to capitalize on the
growth among single-serve sales in the
convenience channel. "We have a proven
success story with the Heineken Keg Can,"
says Steve Davis, Senior Vice President of
Marketing at Heineken USA. "With this can,
Heineken is giving consumers one more
convenient way to enjoy many fall activities
such as cookouts and tailgating at sporting
events."

The new Heineken USA 24 oz. Keg Can
