After various experiences with different
distributors Heineken Adria Representative Office
(the Heineken Export office in Zagreb) has found its
perfect match in Boreas. Since Boreas is
responsible for getting our beer to the clients,
sales are increasing rapidly. Sales in Croatia alone
have increased by between 25 and 30%.
Heineken beer has been exported to Croatia for
more than seven years. The Heineken Export Office
in Zagreb is responsible for the distribution in
Croatia, Yugoslavia, Bosnia and Herzegovina,
Slovenia, Macedonia and Albania. Since the end of
2000, distribution of Heineken beer has been taken
care of by Boreas d.o.o. (part of the Stanic Group)
and recently the official contract was signed.
Boreas now takes care of two markets: Bosnia and
Herzegovina and Croatia.
At the moment three people are managing the
Heineken Adria Representative Office in Zagreb:

Mirjana Topolovec. Robert Groeneweg explains:
"After challenging years in this area, a totally new
structure has been built and the future looks
promising. The Boreas Management Team (Svjetlan
Stanic as General Manager and Slobodan Juracic as
Commercial Manager) invested in many new ways
and we work in close co-operation towards the
development of a better distribution network. So far,
a fantastic job has been done. New staff have been
hired and trained professionally to Heineken
standards, warehouses have been installed and cars
and trucks have been purchased. Heineken visibility
is all over the country, and our brand is recognisable
everywhere. We are very satisfied with the
co-operation with Boreas and it's a good feeling to
see Heineken beer in almost every establishment."
Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia have estimated
sales of 28,000 hi and 35,000 hi respectively for the
year 2001.
