HEINEKEN
SWITZERLAND
INTO
ARTS
Heineken has entered new paths in the world of art. At the Montreux
Jazz Festival, which was organised for the 35th time in July this year,
top acts from the jazz, rock and pop scenes were presented to an
enthusiastic public. Heineken Switzerland was once again involved in
the festival, for the unique ambience on picturesque Lake Geneva fits
the communications platform "Sounds Good" perfectly.
During this Festival, the Heineken Art Gallery was organised. Unique
works of art, which were created in ZLirich from 450 square metres
of the Heineken "Imagine" magasite in the autumn of 2000, were
presented to the public. The 26 works of art, each messuring one
square metres and reminiscent of the work of a pop artist, were
then auctioned online and live. Heineken donated the proceeds from
the auctions to three foundations dedicated to the advancement
of music. Leonore Schudel, PR and Communication Manager for
Heineken Switzerland, explains: an unusual activity, creating some
rumours around the brand and befitting the image of the company."
