HEINEKEN
EXPERIENCE
THE WORLD OF HEINEKEN
On October 3rd, 2001, the Heineken Experience in Amsterdam
received its 100,000 visitor. Since the opening of the Heineken
Experience in May 2001, visitors are lining up every day to enjoy
this completely new and not-to-be missed 'Experience'.
The Heineken visitor center in Amsterdam offers a special
view of the world of Heineken, thanks to a superb combination
of nostalgia and today's technology. Meint van Kuiken,
Manager Heineken Experience, explains: "The Experience is an
unprecedented success, especially when you realise that we
opened our doors only in May this year. It was important for
Heineken to let visitors become acquainted with the world of
Heineken in a special and modern way. That's why the Heineken
museum was rebuilded into a multi-media spectacle. The large
scale rebuilding operation took more than seven months. One of
the highlights for many visitors is the 'bottle ride', where visitors
can -standing on a special gallery- experience the ride of a
Heineken bottle, including the rinsing, filling, closing, labelling and
packaging processes."
The 100,000-visitor was presented a silver pull with inscription,
flowers and the Heineken History book "The Magic of Heineken".
The Heineken Experience is located on the Stadhouderskade 78 in
Amsterdam, receives around 1,000 visitors a day and is open six
days a week (closed on Mondays). With this 100,000 visitor record,
the Heineken Experience has established that it belongs to one of
the main tourists' attractions of Amsterdam. For more information,
