t out for Amstel 14 One artist uses a brush and palette, the other uses a ham mer and chisel. But for British artist Gavin Reece a pair of scissors and a pot of glue are the most impor tant tools for creating works of art. He cuts out shapes and then pastes them into place. At the end of last year he created five works of art for Amstel as part of a new international poster campaign. Gavin Reece combines accuracy with creativity. The Amstel brand team in Amsterdam was amazed at the energetic way in which Reece carried out his assignment. Within a short period of time the work of art measuring 65 x 95 centimetres was completed. And that time also included the briefing and two sketch proposals. International brand manager Amstel, Gary den Hertog, is very con tented with the final result. "The new posters convey the Amstel image pre cisely: it brings people together."
