The Wliitbread Round the World Race for the
Heineken Trophy is the ultimate challenge in
ocean racing. It is the longest ocean race and has
consistently attracted high calibre entries from all
over the world. Since the first race in 1975 when
17 yachts from seven countries set out in what
were then uncharted waters for racing yachts, the
Race has grown. Today it is now the world's
premier ocean race.
