Best Wishes for Good Joy and Happ §mm ATTRACTIVE NEW HEINEKEN HEINEKEN MAINTAINS HOLIDAY DISPLAY FOR '78 STRONG SALES GAINS The Heineken Holiday Display Unit for '78 has a gold foil back ground to capture attention, and frames the new "Dutch Cheese" ad vertisement in an attractive "Bow Window" design to give a three-di mensional look to the display. Reds 8c greens, holly, berries 8c bows compli ment the holiday theme, and the new piece can be utilized as a Window or Counter Display, or as a Display Piece on mass Case Stackings. For the first nine months of 1978, imports show a gain of 19,765,874 gal lons (32%) over the same period in 1977as reported by the National As sociation of Alcoholic Beverage Im porters in Washington, D.C. The imported "Big Three" held their previous positions for this per iod. The Netherlands was again the leader with a 43 percent gain to 36,- 953,233 gallons. The number two slot was held by Canadaup 26 percent for a total of 22,580,987 gallons. Ger many was up 10 percent for a total of 9,405,032 gallons. It is to be noted that the great ma jority of the Netherlands figures rep resent Heineken, while the other country's figures represent a wide var iety of brands. Thus Heineken Hol land Beer"The #1 Imported Beer in the U.S.A."continues its leader ship by a wide margin, especially in comparison to any other single im ported brand. With the "Big Three" accounting for 68,939,252 gallons, the remaining 12,996,508 gallons are accounted for by all the other importing countries. HEINEKEN TASTES TREMENDOUS AT LEADING RETAIL STORE A Heineken-tasting promotion, held at the Brown Derby Store #17 in Springfield, Mo., was a tremendous success. The promotion was high lighted by the 100-case display shown in the top picture, and serviced from a cooler by personnel shown in the bottom picture. Consumers found that the taste makes Heineken "America's #1 Imported Beer". MIAMI, FLA., Six trucks were added to the Heineken Wholesalers Delivery Fleet by VMCO distributor Universal Brands, Inc. in the im portant Miami resort area. Distributor manage ment representatives and VMCO's Gary Hege- dorn, Division Manager; and Edward Abdella, Sales Representative, inspected the handsome fleet. These vehicles provide excellent adver tising coverage in an important market for "America's #1 Imported Beer", supplementing regular national and local advertising.
