The wide range of Heineken Holland Beer point-of-sale materials available to Heineken accounts drew many fine compliments from those attending the convention at the Bellevue Stratford Hotel recently. Beginning in October, and running thru December, a heavy Heineken Radio Campaign has been mounted for New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Boston, and Washington, D.C., and Miami to further support Heineken holiday sales in major markets. Top-rated stations in each market will be carrying the new Heineken commercial with new original music blending with the theme "Heineken tastes tremendous no wonder its #1". The commercial was first aired during the Spring/Summer campaign and was highly rated by consumer and trade listeners throughout the country. The new Heineken radio campaign adds additional advertising weight in major markets to an expanded na tional magazine schedule already a part of the Million Dollar Plus adver tising support currently promoting the Heineken brand to the consumer. As observed by Mr. L. van Munch ing, President of VMCO, "the Heine ken Holiday Radio Campaign again indicates that the Heineken brand will continue to be strongly promoted to insure our continued sales growth". This year s Heineken Holiday Dis play Unit mounts a three-dimensional gold frame around a full-color repro duction of the Heineken national magazine advertisement. The eye catching display background is green foil to capture consumer attention.
