July Fourth Weekend Offers
Greut Sules Opportunities
Heinefcen's
The Fourth of July traditionally heralds the summer
vacation season. It is also the symbol around which all
merchandising-minded supermarket and grocery managers
feature summertime picnic items.
To help you get Heineken's featured in the many ad
vertisements taken by grocers and supermarkets just prior
to the July 4th weekend, we are making available cuts or
mats of the Heineken's 6-pack illustration shown below.
In fifty States of the USA,
and it happens more often, everyday
Particular people, who know the best,
explain it this way to all the rest.
This "treasure of pleasure" from Holland to here
Is all that is claimed; "the world's finest beer"
That "old world" flavor, so bright and so clear
Could bear just one label "Heineken's Lager Beer".
A real "Dutch Treat" now available to all
From Key West in Florida to quaint Montreal
And from old New York to our Pacific shore,
This brand is famous, in restaurants and store
So enjoy it now, at home and while "out"
You'll agree with our jingle, there is no doubt
It goes like this Please lend an ear
Heineken's, Heineken's, Heineken's Beer
A treasure of pleasure from Holland to Here.
Fill up your glass and join in the fun
You're now really living you son-of-a-gun.
Each of the Van Munching 8c Co.'s divisional offices
will have a substantial supply of these cuts and mats.
Please contact your Van Munching representative as soon
as possible to obtain either cuts or mats of the Heineken's
6-pack so that you and your top off-premise accounts can
cash in on these sales opportunities.

'V,
The Heineken's display shown above won fourth prize in the Chain Store
Age display idea awards contest. (left to right) Berne Ross, Van Munching
Co. representative and Mr. Frank Scarpa, Manager of the D'Agostino Market
on First Avenue near 56th Street in Manhattan, pose alongside this 20-case
display which sold eleven times more Heineken's Beer during its installation.
Mr. Scarpa thought so much of the display and its effect on sales that he
submitted a photo to Chain Store Age, a national trade publication in the
grocery industry.
