We are building new Heineken's
customers every day in thousands of
fine restaurants and clubs. Some of
these new Heineken's friends are at
tracted to our product because they
find it available in so many places.
Others have grown accustomed to our
displays in these outlets. But perhaps
the greatest single silent salesman we
have in an on-premise account is the
menu.
The presence of Heineken's on the
menu varies from a mention in the beer
listings, a bold separate listing in a
dominant position with the use of one
of our bottle cuts, the use of our menu
stickers (gummed back) or menu
riders (without gummed back) or
menu sheets, or even the actual use of
the Heineken's menu covers. All of
these are perfect sales builders.
In the last year, we have encouraged
an increased use of a feature that com
bines a particular food selection and
a bottle of Heineken's Beer at one
price. Among the many combinations
that have been used, are those shown
in the illustration to the right.
Such food and Heineken's combina
tions appear within the basic menu,
but more often on a specially prepared
menu clip-on where space require
ments are not as limited. From the
many reports that we have received the
combination offer of a food specialty
and a bottle of Heineken's Beer has
been most rewarding. For all of you
selling Heineken's Beer it has helped
to obtain new Heineken's drinkers, as
well as to encourage the featuring of
Heineken's at every opportunity.
We hope you will be able to make
increased use of the menu in any one
of the suggestions described above for
bigger and better impulse selling.
