Heineken's
on Television
with
Real Dutch
Commercials
Unique and entertaining Hei
neken's television commercials en
tirely in the Dutch language, were
seen for the first time in the
United States, last month.
Channel 7 (WCKT) and Chan
nel 10 (WPST) in Miami are cur
rently carrying these Heineken's
announcements to approximately
half a million vacationers and resi
dents in the greater Miami area.
Many of this season's tourists can
be expected to return to their
home towns singing the catchy
Heerlyk Helder Heineken's tune.
Film Prepared in Holland
These announcements were
prepared for use by the Heine
ken's Brewery in the Netherlands
and other Dutch-speaking mar
kets. Both the puppet animation
and the accompanying melody are
the product of Dutch craftsmen
whose work, like the Heineken's
Brewery, is world renown.
The text of each of the three dif
ferent 60-second announcements
is sq simple and self explanatory
in its message that a knowledge of
Dutch is really not necessary.
