HeinekensStars at 42nd National Hotel Exposition A view of the Heineken*s display shows from right to leftMr, Leo van MunchingMiss Heineken's, Mr, Dave Ehrlich and the World's Finest Lager, Bigger and better than ever is the only way to describe the National Hotel °how held at the Coliseum in New York vnrough. November 11th to the 15th. Once again Heineken's was attrac tively displayed in our booth ^b3199, ideally located on the 3rd floor in a heavy traffic area. Over 55,000 visitors attended the Show which offered purveyors to the hotel and restaurant trade an opportunity to display their products and services to the Ameri can Hotel and Restaurant Industry. New methods of automation in equip ment including a rocket counter kitchen that does everything automatically but feed the customers as well as scientific portion control devices were of great in terest. However, as a welcome change of pace the hotel and restaurant people stopped at the Heineken's booth to re mind themselves that some of the finer things in life are not attained by pressing buttons, particularly the careful slow brewing of that unhurried Dutch treat Heineken's Holland Beer. We had a steady stream of visitors from all parts of the country at our booth. The Heineken's display was featured by our scale model windmill which is an exact "eplica of a famous Dutch windmill in .^.iarderwyk, Holland. Our guests were greeted by our President, Mr. Leo van Munching. In attendance were Mr. James P. Connelly, our Metropolitan New York Sales Manager; our sales representatives Messrs. Dave Ehrlich, Bill Deegan, Joe Kissel, Frank LaRocca, Emil Zeugin; our Middle Atlantic Sales Manager Roy Hay- man and Julian Braun. Last but not least, was our own Miss Heineken's of 1958, Bobbie Forest Zee- man, attractively attired in Dutch cos tume. Bobbie's charming smile and sin cere manner added a festive note to the proceedings. We were pleased to see and have an opportunity to talk with so many of our friends in the hotel and restaurant busi ness from all over the country. Our guest register book is evidence of the tremen dous interest shown in our display. We received many inquiries about Heineken's as well as many requests for point-of-sale material from old customers. The all around success of the show itself, plus the prominent Heineken's display erved to make many new friends for ^Heineken's.
