The fact that Heineken's is such a natural comple ment to Southern California's living is well brought out in the October issue of Holiday Magazine. This issue is editori ally devoted to the astounding world of Los Angeles and appropriately enough Heineken's advertisng appears in an ar ticle about the famous restaurants of Southern California, most of which are all good Heineken's outlets. On September 3rd the eyes of Texas were on Holland as that week was desig nated as "Holland Week". The occasion was the inauguration of flight service by KLM between Amsterdam and Houston. The Houston Chronicle ran a special sec tion on Holland-Texas trade relations and featured prominently in this section was a Heineken's advertisement, "Deep in the Hearts of Texans" Heineken's Im ported Holland Beer. A reprint of this ad appears below. These strong Tegional advertising cam paigns serve to spread the name and fame of Heineken's in important markets and are a benefit to Heineken's in other sec tions of the country, for people travel from one section to another and take their taste for Heineken's back to their own localities. We salute our good friends of KLM and congratulate them on their inauguration of flight service between Amsterdam and Houston. We know they will find the warmth and congeniality of that pioneering Texas spirit a pleasant experience. Heineken's Imported Holland Beer has been deep in the hearts of Texans for a long time. Year after year Texans everywhere have responded in increasing numbers to the unmatched flavor and lightness of Heineken's. With pardonable pride we tip our Dutch cap and raise our Heineken's glass to the people of Texas for helping us make Heineken's the largest selling imported beer in Texas and the United States. It's nice to be deep in the hearts of Texans. Gen. U. S. Importers: VAN MUNCHING CO., INC., New York 36, N. Y. Sole distributors for Texas: GLAZER'S Wholesale Drug Co., Inc.
