The Van Munching Company booth and personnel that manned it at the 41st National Hotel Show. Reading from left to right: Messrs. James P. Connelly, John D. Rich, Leo van Munching, our President, James Buttridge, Frank La Rocca, Tom McArdle, Julian Braun of our advertising agency and Miss Flora Jean Zeeman, our Dutch Miss During the month of November we attended the 41st National Hotel Show which was held at the New York Col iseum. The show ran from November^ 12 th through the 16th. Our booth #3160 was ideally located on the 3rd floor next to the restaurant. It contained our scale model replica of a Dutch Windmill, the front of a typical Dutch house and a 6 ft. high bottle of our famous HEINEKEN'S BEER. This was the biggest show, both in at tendance and in number of exhibitors, in its entire 41 year history. Never before have so many purveyors to the Hotel and Restaurant trade gotten together under one roof to display their products, equip ment and services to the American Hotel and Restaurant man. From the opening on Monday, Novem ber 12 th, which was for the press and trade only, until closing on November 16th we had a steady stream of visitors. Our guests were greeted by our Presi dent, Mr. Leo van Munching. In at tendance there was a pretty Dutch Miss dressed in a typical Dutch costume along with James Connelly, Metropolitan New York Sales Manager, John Rich, Import^ Sales Manager, James Buttridge, our re cently appointed Hotel and Club Repre sentative, Tom McArdle, Sales Promotion and Advertising Manager and several of our sales representatives. We were pleased to see and have an opportunity to talk to so many of our friends in the Hotel and Restaurant busi ness from all over the country. It was inspiring to see how many requests we received from visitors that stopped at our booth to ask about HEINEKEN'S BEER and requested to have our repre sentatives contact them in regard to point- of-sale material. Naturally we lost no time in informing the parties concerned and from first reports HEINEKEN'S displays have been placed in every account that was contacted. We feel this year's show was most successful as it gave us the opportunity not only to make many new friends for HEINEKEN'S but also to greet and visit with out old friends.
