NEWS
The response to the Heineken's
''Dutch Miss" Contest of 1952, won
by charming Nan Miller, was grati
fying indeed. Millions of American
newspaper and column readers were
told of the results with the papers
often showing pictures of the "Dutch
Miss."
Those of you who will be in New
York and are able to attend the Na
tional Hotel Exposition at Grand
Central Palace on November 10th
through November 14th will be able
to meet the "Dutch Miss" at our
Booths 342 and 343. Do pay us a
visit.
Prominent Americans, including
movie stars, travelled to Europe this
year, visited Holland and enjoyed
drinking Heineken's in Amsterdam.
Included were: Paulette Goddard,
Eric Remarque the famous writer,
Bob Hope, Bing Crosby and many
others. The famous Bohemia Club
Orchestra of San Francisco also visit
ed Holland while the Brewery was
host to many other American tour
ists and military personnel. It seems
that a visit to Heineken's in Holland
is fast becoming more and more a part
of the traveller's itinerary,
Heineken's Beer is actually being
poured on the stage every night at
the recent hit show entitled "The
Time of the Cuckoo" starring Shirley
Booth at the Empire Theater in New
York City.
