For this occasion fresh Holland Herring was used in the Herring dish. Should you or your family care to have any of these recipes, we shall gladly send same upon request. It is needless to say what beverage was served at this party With the newly acquired stainless steel barrels, the draught beer tasted just right while the high temperature of the day (a record, in fact) added much to the appeal of this thirst quencher. A great deal of publicity for the lucky winner and Heineken's Beer re sulted from this contest. All New York papers carried the story and pictures while many of the famous columnists such as Dorothy Kilgallen, Ed Sullivan. Cholly Knickerbocker, etc. made mention of same in their columns. The trade papers have given us full support and we are quite sure that this additional publicity for which we want to give full credit to Matty Simmons, our Publicity Di rector, has done a great deal of good to furthering the fame of Heineken's Beer in the United States. We wish Nan Miller a great deal of success after having won this award. It will interest our readers to know that Kathy Van Hild who was selected in 1951 as our first Heine- ken's "Dutch Miss" went on to much success on television after her selection by our jury. Her most re cent participation has been in The Ken Murray program for Budweiser and we still hope that some day she remembers to mention on the show the beer which gave her her start.
