Information per geographic area
In order to provide a clearer understanding of the Group's activities, it has been decided that with
effect from 2000 information will be furnished per segment. As just one product group, namely
beer, accounts for more than 80% of the Group's net turnover, the financial information will be seg
mented by geographic area only. The four regions distinguished being: Europe, Western Hemi
sphere, Africa and the Middle East and Asia Pacific. As nearly all production facilities for exports are
located in Europe, the results of these activities will be reported under Europe. The results and
assets per region are given in the table below.
