The policy will also be aimed at a flexible
response to new trends, with regard to
the market approach and in the field of
correlating production facilities to
demand.
Emphasis will continue to be placed on
maintaining the high quality of our
products and the service-mindedness of
the organization.
Capital expenditure will also remain at
a high level in 1989. It is expected that
N.fl. 700 million will be spent on invest
ments for expansion and replacement
with regard to tangible fixed assets. The
investments will be financed from the
liquid resources available, the cash flow
and, where appropriate, funds raised
locally.
There may be changes in the number
of employees in some operating
companies as a result of the restructuring
measures. Overall, no substantial
changes in the size of the personnel are
expected in 1989.

The profit expectations for the current
financial year depend on a variety of
elements; several important ones are
outside our control, such as currency
developments, government measures
and the weather. In the longer term we
see good possibilities for the further
development of our enterprise.
