year from the relatively favourable economic climate of the country.
The construction of a lemonade factory in the capital, Kigali, has been delayed by difficulties with
the import of building materials.
Egypt
The prospects are that the settlement of our claim regarding the nationalization in 1963 of our
interests in Cairo and Alexandria will still take some considerable time.
Madagascar
The disappointing results of Brasseries de Madagascar S.A. have prompted us to dispose of our
participation in this enterprise.
The production of Amstel beer under licence is continuing.
South Africa
Sales of Amstel beer produced under licence by The South African Breweries Ltd. have been main
tained at the same level during the year under review.
