In order to be able to meet the demand to be expected in 1975it was decided to build a new brewery
together with a malthouse at Thessalonika in the north of Greece.

Exports to this area were modest. Exports to Rumania made good progress.
WESTERN HEMISPHERE
United States
The further decline in value of the U.S. dollar once again necessitated price increases. Nevertheless
it has hitherto been possible to maintain the growth of sales, though this has taken a great effort.
Heineken is the most imported beer in the United States.
Caribbean
- Jamaica
During the period under review agreements were concluded with Desnoes Geddes Ltd., which
inter alia operates the Red Stripe Brewery Ltd., for the brewing of Heineken beer under contract
under our technical supervision.
- Trinidad
In Trinidad we concluded a contract brewing agreement with National Brewing Company Ltd.
for the production of Heineken Malta under our supervision. The local product is sold under our
auspices.
- St. Lucia
It was decided to safeguard the position of Heineken in the smaller islands associated with the
East Carribbean Common Market by the setting up of a local brewery which will produce Hei
neken beer and Malta.
