CARIBBEAN
- Brasserie Lorraine S.A., of Fort de France, Martinique, has once again
achieved a substantial increase in sales this year.
- The sales of Antilliaanse Brouwerij N.V., of Willemstad, Curacao, have conti
nued the upward trend and will considerably exceed those of the previous
financial year. The programme of investment to enlarge production capacity
was proceeded with. During the year under review a second bottling line was
put into operation.
SOUTH AMERICA
- The level of sales by Surinaamse Brouwerij N.V., of Paramaribo, in the past
financial year was once again significantly higher than the previous year.
- The course of affairs in Brasserie Guyanaise S.A., of Cayenne, French Guiana,
4 which came into production in March 1968, has proved to be disappointing.
It has been decided to withdraw from this project as of the end of December
1969.
miscellaneous As a result of the merger with Amstel, N.V. Preservenbedrijf, of Breda, and Poviet
Producten N.V., of Amsterdam, became 100% subsidiaries of our group. Preserven
bedrijf, which speciali2es in the manufacture of dried foodstuffs and snacks, had a
successful year of operation. I lighly successful, indeed, with regard to the 'Nibb-it'
snacks. The same applies to Poviet, which engages in the manufacture of pharma
ceutical products.
results The consolidated Statement of Financial Condition and Profit and Loss Account
appearing on pages 16-18 relate to the companies included in the previous Annual
Report, namely Heineken's Bierbrouwerij Maatschappij N.V. together with N.V.
Gemeenschappelijk Bezit 'Heineken's Brouwerijen Nederland N.V.', Heineken's
Brouwerijen Nederland N.V., Heineken Internationaal N.V., LIeineken Exploitatie
Maatschappij N.V., Heineken Technisch Beheer N.V. and Heineken Reken Cen
trum N.V., as well as Amstel Brouwerij N.V. and Vrumona N.V.
