Multi Bintang Indonesia goes public
As operators of a brewery and soft
drinks plant, Bralirwa S.A.R.L. in
Rwanda found it very difficult to ob
tain sufficient boards for the crates
used to transport their Primus beer.
It was therefore decided to buy plas
tic crates manufactured in Rwanda.
The picture shows Mr. Mironko, in
whose firm the Primus crates are pro
duced, together with one of the first
of the new crates. Designed by
Heineken Technical Services
(H.T.B.), the new Primus crate was
introduced on the Rwanda market
last autumn.
Last year Heineken's associated Indonesian brewery, PT Multi
Bintang Indonesia, was officially quoted on the Jakarta Stock
Exchange after shares had been publicly issued for the first
time in the company's history.
The first Annual General Meeting of Shareholders of the
company in its new status was held in 1982 and the photo below
shows the company representatives at that meeting.

The first meeting, attended by some 200 shareholders, went off
successfully. Those present even included two ladies who had
journeyed over 1,000 kilometres to attend as representatives of
a bank in Central Sumatra.
