Heineken arrives in Switzerland! Heineken arrive en Suisse! Four stands at IGEHO Quatre stands a I'lGEHO Bier in Bestform. 10 It didn't take long. "Heineken kommt" announced the ad vertisements in mid-1977. Now, posters in leading winter sports resorts proclaim "Heineken ist da!" and the sales chart confirms the fact. Heineken has truly ar rived in Switzerland. These CONTACT pictures show M. René Würster, General Manager of Heineken ImportsS.A., Lausanne, and a number of Heineken displays and festivities in pro gress at IGEHO '77, fourteenth annual exhibition staged at Basle by the hotel and catering trades. Display space occupied in all some 60,000 square metres shared by 580 ex hibitors from 13 countries. The company was represented on four stands in all two of them occupying large areas de voted wholly to Heineken, one in each of the exhibition's two halls. As to the success scored by Heineken beer with Swiss visitors and others from all nations, the record tells its own story: 9,115 visitors to the Heineken stands; 9,800 bottles of Heineken consumed. Popular Heineken attraction was a dice- throwing competition, with everyone ex citedly throwing for big scores. What they didn't know because this was a Heineken secret was that the winner would be he who threw the lowest score! So no-one was more surprised than TV producer Dominique Curchod when, af ter performing the astounding feat of throwing 0 in each of four throws and just 4 on the other, he was proclaimed the winner! His prize a trip to Amster dam. The runner-up: Wynand Vogel, who scored only 10 and was not in the least disappointed at having missed a visit to Holland's capital. Why? That's where he lives!
