LE GRAND PRIX CYCLISTE 1971
Archiball Boys a La Rochelle,
France, a révélé un champion in-
connu: Gérard Bourron, fils du dis
tributeur local de Heineken. La dis
tance couverte et le temps ne valent
pas la peine d'être mentionnés, car
la chaleur excesssive de la journée
portait atteinte a un pédalage pro-
longé et prodigieux. Heureusement
Monique du Bar Le Vauban suivait
les coureurs dans une voiture abon-
damment pourvu de bière Heineken
fraiche. Sans el Ie les coureurs n'au-
raient jamais pu atteindre la ligne
d'arrivée.
IN LA ROCHELLE, FRANCE, the
Archiball Boys 1971 Grand Prix for
cyclists revealed a champion till then
unknown; Gerard Bourron, son of
the local Heineken distributor. The
distance covered and winner's time
are not worth mentioning because
that day was much too warm for
prolonged, prodigious pedalling.
Fortunately, Monique of the Bar Le
Vauban, followed right behind the
competitors in a car abundantly
stocked with cold Heineken beer,
or they might not have reached the
finish line at all.
A L'ARRIVÉEIe vainqueur, le visage
a peine marquée par la dure épreuve,
devait déclarer qu'il avait pu tenir le
coup grace a la fraicheur de la bière
Heineken et a la diligence du service
de ravitaillement.
THE WINNAH, Gerard Bourron, de
clared he could not have managed
as well without refreshing Heineken
beer and the perfect service of
Monique's revitalisation car.
JEAN-JACQUES DE VRIESE,
Heineken's permanent delegate
for the French market, has been
appointed Export Manager for
Moët Chandon, the venerable
French champagne firm. His appoint
ment was effective on January 15,
1972.
We owe many thanks to Mr. de
Vriese for his excellent work as
contact man between our organiza
tion and S.A.F.C., the Moët subsidi
ary which represents our company
in France.
During the 10 years that Mr. de
Vriese was with Heineken, he built
up a good relationship between
Moët Chandon, our company, and
the French clientele. By making per
sonal calls on distributors, chain
store managers, and on hotels, res
taurants and bars, he contributed to
Heineken's present market coverage
in France. Many of our French
clients will remember the familiariza
tion tours to our breweries in Hol
land which he organized.
We consider it an honour that a fel
low countryman, and especially one
from Heineken's export organization,
has been given the opportunity to in
crease Moët Chandon's markets
throughout the world. His former
colleagues in Holland wish Mr. de
Vriese happiness and success in his
new post.
JEAN-JACQUES DE VRIESE, notre
délégué permanent pour Ie marché
frangais, a été nommé Directeur de
l'Exportation de la Maison Moët
Chandon. Sa nomination a pris effet
le 15 janvier 1972.
Nous tenons exprimer un grand
merci a M. de Vriese pour l'excel-
lent travail qu'il a effectué en assu-
rant la liaison entre notre organisa
tion et la S.A. France Champagne,
filiale de Moët qui représente notre
société en France.
Durant ces 10 dernières années
M. de Vriese a établi d'excellents
rapports entre Moët Chandon,
notre société, et la clientèle fran-
gaise. En visitant personnellement
entrepositaires et cafetiers, diri-
geants de grandes surfaces d'hötels
et de restaurants, il a contribué la
diffusion actuelle de notre marque.
Ces dernières années il a organisé
de nombreux voyages en Hollande,
dont nous espérons que nos invités
Jean-Jacques de Vriese
frangais se souviennent avec plaisir.
Nous le considérons un honneur
qu'un citoyen néerlandais, et en par
ticulier une personne sortant de l'or-
ganisation d'exportation de Heine
ken, aura la possibilité de promou-
voir l'exportation de Moët Chan
don dans le monde entier. Ses an
ciens collègues des Pays-Bas ex-
priment a M. de Vriese leurs sou-
haits de bonheur et de réussite dans
ses nouvelles fonctions.
