Our core value of respect requires that we listen carefully
to the opinions voiced by our employees and external
stakeholders and that we understand their expectations
as part of our decision-making process. Providing
stakeholders with relevant, transparent and timely
information is important because it enables them to
form realistic expectations of our business. I believe that
organisations can only survive in the long term if they
conduct their business in a manner that earns acceptance
from, and adds value to, society. It is crucial therefore that
we expand and maintain mechanisms and channels that
allow two-way dialogue between our business and our
stakeholders. Over the coming years seeking feedback
and opinions and building structures that facilitate this
will be critical elements of our sustainability agenda.
I am fully committed to playing an active role in ensuring
that this happens.
